In the next few days, I'll be releasing the first episode of The Certified Freelance Podcast. It's my long awaited personal project that I've finally manage to put together. Late last year when I've started planning to push this through but I got a bit busy with different projects. So this year, I've determined to put this into reality. 
I believe stories make bigger impact in people's lives than we could ever think of. And podcast makes it such a convenient way to spread out life changing ideas and inspiring stories that deserve a greater audience. So this time, I'm taking you to a different path and let you see freelancing from a different perspective.
The idea is to bring in different people with different points of view and different experiences to share their stories with us. We'll try to see how successful freelancers resolved their challenges at work. We will listen to their struggles that you and many other freelancers are experiencing as home based workers. We will try to uncover the secrets to getting high paying, long term projects. And we'll get to know how online work is changing their lives, and how it can also change yours for the better.
Here's what you can expect on the show:
- Candid answers to the most common questions about online work
- Provide pointers on how to create a client catching profile
- Share productivity tips and tricks
- Engage other freelancers into a healthy conversation and exchange of ideas
- Educate by way of other's experiences
- Overall, we would like to inspire, encourage and empower the newbies, the doubters, and the skeptics.
I think that the freelance scene in the Philippines is still very young. But as more and more people are showing interest in this revolutionary way to work, we're probably moving closer to a stage where our OFWs will just be at home and be with their families instead of risking their lives overseas.
That's still a long shot. But if you'll share your story how you work at home, you just wouldn't know whose life you're going to touch and change. Maya Angelou perfectly worded it when she said “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
